Michael Todd True Organic: Pearl And Silk Facial Mask

Another Michael Todd True Organics post!  I do love their masks, and their products in general…

Pearl and Silk is a certified organic facial mask that provides an extra gentle treatment to help hydrate and firm while also providing exfoliation. Uses the power of herbal pearl and silk amino acids to purify and give the skin a very soft and velvety feel.

If you thought that masks were only for mature skin types…think again!  The key to radiant looking skin is to unclog pores, reduce bacteria and nourish, tone and heal on and below the skin’s surface. Today’s masks from Michael Todd true organics do all that transforming dull, lackluster skin into clearer irresistible complexions.

This mask is designed to be used post-cleanse, applied for 10-15 minutes, and used 2-3 times a week. It comes in the standard purple/purple MTTO packaging, with a tall pump dispenser not unlike the other MTTO maskes I’ve shared to-date.
Ingredients: Aloe Barbadensis (Organic Aloe) Juice, Vegetable Glycerin, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel), Euterpe Oleracea (Acai Fruit) Pulp Powder, Phenoxyethanol, Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Carbomer, Hydrolyzed Silk, Pearl Powder, Essential Oils, Sodium Benzoate, Glucolactone, Citric Acid.
Michael Todd True Organic: Pearl And Silk Facial Mask (USD $34) The mask itself is definitely playing up the silky pearl thing — the formula is sheer and translucently opalescent, light and serum-like in feel.  There’s not too much of a scent going on which is good. It feels cool and refreshing at first, and doesn’t completely absorb into the skin during the cure time. The mask does dry down and needs to be rinsed away, but doesn’t feel tight or irritated during the process. My skin was glowing and felt so soft.

Happy Weekend!! XOXO Diana

Michael Todd: Blue Green Algae Antibacterial Toner & Organic Lemon AHA + DMAE Toner

I've tried and tested 3 out of 5 of Michael Todd's toner and I must say I love the Blue Green Algae Antibacterial Toner & Organic Lemon AHA + DMAE Toner the best. For the past half a year I've been only using their toner and now its a great time to have a review on both of these.

Michael Todd: Blue Green Algae Antibacterial Toner (USD $18.50) has a anti-bacterial formula to aid in treatment and prevention of problem skin, without any alcohol to try out or sting our skin and suitable for all skin types. It does leave a slightly warming sensation on my skin for a short while after put it on with cotton pad, it does have a scent of lavender and tiny bit of tea tree oil (comfortable & not over powering, can't smell anything once on the skin). It is not a miracle  product but does clam down and clear up the skin without drying them out.

Michael Todd: Organic Lemon AHA + DMAE Toner (USD $18.00) is a naturally antimicrobial organic citrus toner from lemons, oranges & cranberries to reduce oiliness and improves complexion by lightening dark spots, clearing up skin and tightening pores. It is infused with AHA and DMAE to reduce fine lines and wrinkles and also alcohol free. I love the fresh lemon scent and always love toner with AHA in it, but I'm not very sure about the reducing of fine lines or wrinkles. It does lighten dark spots a bit slowly and balance out my skin keeping it moisturized and soft.

Love both and definitely will repurchase. Michael Todd does ship internationally at a very reasonable price.

What kind of toners do you like?

Michael Todd True Organics: Wild Rose Petal Creamy Body Wash

I got this Michael Todd Wild Rose Petal Creamy Body Wash at their online website: http://www.michaeltoddtrueorganics.com

Michael Todd True Organics claims that their products are

  • Made in USA
  • Made with organic ingredients
  • No added water
  • No parabens, triclosan, phthalates or sulfates
  • No mineral oil, artificial or synthetic fragrance
  • No animal testing (products are tested on their chairman)
Wild Rose Petal Creamy Body Wash (USD $14) is made with 70% organic ingredients, rose-hip oil combines with sunflower, olive and jojoba oils and lavender and chamomile to provide a moisture-rich wash. Added tea tree oil and acai provide antioxidant and antimicrobial deodorant protection and aid in the treatment of blemishes.

I find that the consistency is watery gel like and with quite a strong scent of roses. Those people who do not like rose-scented products might not like it. It leaves your skin feeling hydrated after your shower. But the price point is a bit expensive for just 300ml/10.1 fl oz of product.

I am not that fussy about my body wash and would not repurchase unless I absolutely love the scent.
Overall it is a great product and I like that it is natural without chemicals and they do not test on animals which is always a plus for me.

That's all I have for today, have a lovely day all!
