Eucerin pH5 Shower Oil for Dry Skin

I never have to worry about dry skin in my entire life and it seems that as you aged everything is going to change eventually. I'm not that old but still recently my skin has been acting up which is the first time experiencing how bad that feels.

I have always wanted to try the Almond Shower Oil from L'occitane but it is pretty pricey and I wanted something cheaper to test out how much I would love the concept of Shower oil. Finally I got something similar except it is way much cheaper.

Eucerin pH5 Shower Oil (SGD $19.90) It turns into a milky lotion upon contact with water, and moisturises. Doesn't leave a greasy film after bath and I can even skip moisturizing my skin after shower if I'm lazy (Heehee) or running late for appointments and stuffs. This oil performs really well and it is a cheaper alternative from other higher-end ones. But if you don't like any fragrance in your shower/bath products you might want to give it a sniff at you local drugstore or simply not buy it. I don't find the scent unpleasant and I don' mind products that are scented (even my skin is sensitive, it doesn't irritate them in any way).

I still use my normal shower gels that are mostly formulated without Parbens or SLS but if I really need something intensive I will go back to Eucerin pH5 shower oil.

Highly recommended, I simply love it!!

I might go ahead and take a dive to get the Almond Shower Oil from L'occitane since I'm dying to try ever so long ago and to review and see if there is any difference for you guys too!

Happy Weekend!! Love, Diana

1028 Visual Therapy Advanced Whitening Essence Foundation & HA Hydrating Mineral Powder

1028 Visual Therapy is a makeup label created by Taiwanese makeup artist's Xiao Kai and in the land for bright eyes and nude skin... I bought their Advanced Whitening Essence Foundation, foundation brush and their HA Hydrating Mineral Powder SPF 15 few months back... I'm just curious about Taiwan's makeup products and decided to give it a try and this is what I think....

1028 Visual Therapy Advanced Whitening Essence Foundation SPF30 PA++ (OC-01 light beige) (SGD $34.90) comes in a dropper applicator which is very easy and hygienic to use. I got the lightest shade (slightly light for me, I use a bronze to warm up my face after), they got a total of 3 shades. The texture is like a serum and feels light and not heavy on the skin. It has a light coverage but buildable to medium coverage, it dry to a velvety finish and looks really good on the skin. I find that it brightens up my skin quite a bit too. The lasting power of this foundation on my oily combination skin in this humid weather here in Singapore is about 4 hours with their Mineral powder for setting powder.
This is not my favourite foundation yet I don't hate it.

Here is some of the claims from 1028 Visual Therapy of this product:

"Advanced whitening essence foundation is a breakthrough technology of "treatment" cosmetics that combines foundation with concentrated whitening skincare essence into one. Its main component of vitamin C reduces melanin and whitens the skintone. It is also enrich with multiple natural extract essence of Sweet Almond, Olive, Bertholletia Excelsa Seed, Argania Spinosa Kernel and Moringa Pterygosperma Seed to provide excellent repair and treatment properties for damage skin.
This revolutionary formula is easy to apply, cover imperfections instantly, creating a flawless makeup look."

My thoughts on the whitening and repairing part I can't really tell as I haven't use it long enough to see the results (I've got a lot of foundation in my stash that I alternate frequently!! Heehee...) Overall its quite good but just not my favourite I guess!!

It is a small synthetic angled kabuki brush, not a bad brush as the bristles are pretty soft and it is very well made for (SGD $19.90).

1028 Visual Therapy HA Hydrating Mineral Powder SPF 15 (02 Shimmer) (SGD $24.90 @ 5.5g) is an ultra-fine mineral based powder which contains high hyaluronic acid to provide a moisture boost to the skin yet adsorbing excess oil. It comes with a rotating dial which is great for me to get the amount I want to use and comes with an old school powder puff too, did I mention that it has a mirror too (I'm surprise because I've not seen any loose powder compact with a flip top & mirror ever! unique and thoughtful packaging which comes in very handy for traveling.)

The texture of the powder is very smooth and soft which makes it easy to blend into the skin. Yes if you can tell there is very fine micro shimmers in the powder in my swatch below. Don't be afraid of the shimmers (I was afraid at first too but oh boy..!! It looks great on the skin), once it is applied there is just a natural glow and you can't tell that it is shimmers at all ( I swatched pretty heavily below). This is another one of my favourite setting powder besides my Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrush Foundation . Love it! A very healthy natural glow whenever I used it.

My overall view? Great products so far, especially a big thumbs up for the HA Hydrating Mineral Powder which I highly recommend to try. There is a few places online which I will link below if any Internationals would love to get them, they ship internationally.

XOXO Diana

Tarte: Pin Up Girl Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush Palette (Holiday 2014)

We finally got Tarte's blush palette this year in Singapore.. I'm so happy and excited... since I love their blushes so much of course I would get them. The packaging looks real pretty in gold like a clutch but it is a bit bulky for my taste. Never the less I still love what is inside... the actual product itself of cause.

It comes with 2 very pretty vintage inspired hairpins.

A great size mirror and 5 limited edition shades

 From Left to Right

Tarte Pin Up Girl Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush Palette (SGD $59 for 0.79 oz.) includes five shades of blush ranging from brown to peach to plum. Each blush is 0.158 oz. and a full-sized blush is 0.20 oz. and you’ll get to try five shades. I liked that there was a variety of finishes, and a decent spectrum of shades from beige to plum to coral.
  1. Breathless - Pinky Beige - It’s a rosy beige with subtle, warm undertones and a satin-matte finish. There’s a smidgen of “glow” the more you buff and blend out the powder on the skin, but it’s primarily a matte finish.
  2. Embraced - Plummy Rose - It’s a medium-dark, cool-toned berry pink with a frosted finish. It had great color payoff.
  3. Whimsy - Light Pink - It’s a cool-toned, light-medium pink with a semi-matte finish. It had good pigmentation with a soft but powdery texture.
  4. Bashful - Rosy Peach -  It’s a medium, pink-coral with warm undertones and a soft, golden shimmer-sheen. It had nice color payoff.
  5. Irreplaceable - Mauve Rose - It’s a medium-dark, rosy pink with subtle, warm undertones and a semi-matte finish.

From Left to Right: Breathless, Embraced, Whimsy, Bashful, Irreplaceable

I had been a fan of Tarte's blushes for quite some time now which is no secret and there is really nothing bad or wrong I can find here with this palette. This is a great value for money Holiday set (its almost nearly the same amount you'll be paying like in the USA) Grab it if you can find it because I really think it is worth paying.

Happy weekend & Happy shopping for the holidays coming up!!

Tarte: Bon Voyage Collector's Set (Holiday 2014)

I'm most excited about this holiday set from Tarte: Bon Voyage Collector's Set that is Sephora exclusive this year (last year I remember my favourite set is Two Faced: A Few Of My Favourite Things set).

Tarte Bon Voyage Collector’s Set & Travel Bag (SGD $79) is gorgeous and does contain a number of items. It comes with 20 full size Amazonian Clay eyeshadows, 1 full size LipSurgence Lip Tint, 1 full size LipSurgence Lip Gloss, a deluxe size Lights,Camera, Lashes 4 in 1 Mascara, a deluxe size cheek stain, a deluxe Maracuja Oil, a Deluxe size smooth operator Amazonian Clay Finishing Powder and a beautiful limited edition travel bag. Overall, it’s a great palette. There were a couple of misses for eyeshadows, but both lips products are hydrating for me, I like the mascara and finishing powder, love the maracuja oil except the fact that I rarely use cream/liquid cheek stain the rest is great. I think if you like more muted eyeshadows with more matte finishes, this might be a good palette to consider.
I loved this travel bag!! Just the perfect size for traveling for me!

Here is how it looks like.

Top first row from Left to Right: Palace of Versaille, Moulin Rouge, I Think I Cannes, My Own Cotes du Rhone, Boudoir Noir.

Second row from Left to Right: Fall in Lourve, Provence upon a time, Eiffel for you, Too Haute to Handle, Bastille in the Night.

Third row from Left to Right: Chantilly Lace, Merci You Later, No Champagne No Gain, Take on Bordeaux, French Riviera.

Fourth row from Left to Right: C'est La Vie, Marseille the Word, Play Nice, On a Good Notre Dame, Le Cordon Bleu.

Top Row from Left to Right

Palace of Versaille is a light pink with subtle warm undertones and a matte finish.
Moulin Rouge is a plummy taupe with subtle, warm undertones and a matte finish.
I Think I Cannes is a muted, medium-dark purple-plum with a hint of gray and a matte finish.

My Own Cotes de Rhone is a dark, cool-toned, muted purple with a matte finish.
Boudoir Noir is a dark burgundy-brown with warm, reddish undertones and a semi-matte finish. It had really rough, uneven color coverage with a drier, slightly powdery, texture that made it hard to blend on the skin.

Second Row from Left to Right

Fall in Louvre is a softened, peach-orange with a satin finish.
Provence Upon a Time is a dark, brown-ish gold with a frosted finish.
Eiffel for You is a muted, medium-dark olive brown with warm undertones and a mostly matte finish.
Too Haute to Handle is a medium-dark, bronze-shimmered brown with warm, yellow undertones.
Bastille in the Night is a dark brown with subtle, warm yellow undertones and a satiny finish.

Third Row from Left to Right

Chantilly Lace is a light, warm-toned beige with a satin finish.
Merci You Later is a muted, medium-dark taupe brown with warm undertones and a matte finish.
No Champagne, No Gain is a muted, medium gold with hints of brown and a metallic sheen.
Take on Bordeaux is a dark, chocolate brown with warm, red-yellow undertones and a satin finish.
French Riviera is a muted, dirty green with subtle, cool undertones and a soft, frosted finish.

Fourth Row from Left to Right

C’est La Vie is a sparkly, metallic golden pewter. It had sheer color coverage, while the texture was crumbly and resulted in a fair amount of fall out during wear.
Marseille the Word is a muted, medium-dark pewter-gray with a pearly sheen.
Play Nice is a muted, gray-ish purple with a semi-matte finish.

On a Good Notre Dame is a deep, dark black with a semi-matte finish.
Le Cordon Bleu is a cool-toned, bluish purple with a matte finish. It was somewhat powdery and harder to blend on the skin.

From Left to Right: LipSurgence Lip Tint in Romantic, LipSurgence Lip Gloss in Visionary, Romantic underneath with Visionary on top

 LipSurgence Lip Tint in Romantic

Romantic is a soft, muted coral-pink with a glossy shine. Tarte’s LipSurgence Lip Tint formula is supposed to be a hydrating, natural-looking lip stain with a “wash of color.” It had semi-opaque color coverage that went on evenly and smoothly.

 LipSurgence Lip Gloss in Visionary

Visionary is a soft, medium peach-coral with warm undertones and a fine shimmer. Tarte’s LipSurgence Lipgloss formula is supposed to give a “pop of color” with “lasting shine” while being hydrating and vanilla-scented. It had a pretty sheer color coverage on me but added glossiness to the lips.

Romantic underneath with Visionary on top

The lasting power on my lips for both is around 3 hours and after food and drinks its all gone (happens to me every time except for the YSL Glossy Stain )

I do like the brush of the Lights, Camera, Lashes 4 in 1 Mascara a lot because it separates my lashes very well... as for the formula I do like that it lengthens my lashes quite a bit but for thickening and volume is just okay for me.

Muse is a beige-brown with subtle, warm undertones and a metallic sheen. Tarte’s Cheek Stain formula is described long-wearing and natural. I rarely use cream/liquid products and I haven't try it yet besides swatching it for you guys so I can't really tell how it last on my skin.

Tarte Maracuja Oil which is a fabulous overnight facial oil (it’s a bit too rich for me to use in the day) that adds plenty of hydration to my combination oily skin and actually regulates my skin and preventing it from getting more oily for my T Zone (sounds weird.. but think it really works.. and for oily or oily combo gals do not be afraid of facial oils because they 're really good for you). The oil adsorbs into my skin really fast and it doesn't feel even a tiny bit greasy at all!!!

Tarte: Amazonian Smooth Operator Clay Finishing Powder  is a transparent, silky finish powder that blends easily and doesn’t adhere to drier areas for a very smooth finish.

This is a great value for money Holiday set (might be the best value set in Singapore for the amount of products that you will be getting and its almost nearly the same amount you'll be paying like in the USA.) Grab it if you can find it because I really think it is worth paying.

Lots of Love Diana

P.S.: Will be reviewing their blush set next... so stay tune....

Inglot: Tiny Random Makeup Haul

Finally Inglot has landed in Singapore and that means I don't have to go all the way to my neighbouring country Malaysia Johor Bahru to get their stuffs! Hooray!! They are located at Wisma Atria #B1-14 435 Orchard Road Singapore 238877.

And here is what I got...

Inglot: AMC Pure Pigment Eyeshadow (#85) (SGD $29 @ 2g/ 0.07oz) is something similar to Mac's Blue Brown pigment (not a dupe but similar concept), from tutorials which I saw from U Tubes or Swatches online the Mac's Blue Brown pigment is rusty reddish brown with the duo-chrome effect of the blue and green. But this is more of the slightly cool taupey brown with the duo-chrome effect of blue and green. Pigments are never the easiest eyeshadows to use but they look the prettiest when you are finish. Nothing bad to say just two word to describe which is Simply Beautiful.

Duraline (SGD $20)  is something similar to Mac's mixing medium a colourless, translucent liquid that will turn any powder eyeshadow into a liquid formulation for easy usage.

I finally filled up my Inglot's Freedom System Palette with this last eyeshadow pan and I got their trios or I should say their Rainbow Eyeshadow. What is Freedom System Palette? They have something called the Freedom System (which is similar to making your own MAC palette). Basically you get a little magnetic board, wander around the shop and choose the eyeshadows/blushes etc. that you want to turn into a palette. Their blushes are gorgeous too which I only have their 1 pan blush, and for now I stuck with a 10 pan eyeshadow palette  (they have a few different sizes).

Inglot: Freedom System Eyeshadow Rainbow Matte (#107) (SGD $15) consist of a light taupey brown, medium brown and dark brown and these 3 shades have slightly warm undertones. The pigmentation and colour payoff of their eyeshadows are amazing even for the mattes. They feel creamy, buttery and silky to the touch and the best is they blend like a dream. Although the colour selection is crazy huge in the States there are only maybe a quarter here in Singapore which is enough for now I guess (most Singaporeans don't usually wear eyeshadows a lot, even if they do it is usually a very easy and simple look).

P.S. : I'm the odd one out I guess heehee.. Since young I always like eyeshadows because I've mono-lids/single eyelid whatever you wanna call it.. I'm always emphasizing makeup looks on my eyes.. I'm lucky that considering most mono-lids usually have small eyes yet mine is quite big..

Inglot Eye brush (29PO) (SGD $20) is made of Pony + Ox hair with a wooden handle. It is a multi function brush which is amazing for packing on colours and blending. They're very soft and cost less then a Mac's brushes. I do not own any Mac's brushes so I can't really compare them. Never the less this Inglot's brush is still great in quality and budget/pocket friendly too!!

I love Inglot's products and they are a much cheaper alternative to Mac's products and their quality of their products are very comparable too.
What do you think guys??

Happy weekend!!!

Chanel NEW Rouge Allure Gloss (#19 Pirate)

Yes Ladies, Chanel has launched their NEW gloss range, a gloss version of their Rouge Allure Lipsticks which I adore!! They 're gorgeous I must say!!!

I know that for the price of Chanel products not all are willing to splurge but for beauty treats or gifts they're great!

Chanel Rouge Allure Gloss (#19 Pirate) (SGD $46) The packaging is stunning and unique. It's the same click-open design as the lipsticks, I have to say I've never used anything like this before. It's a pigmented and thick gloss, just a tiny bit sticky (but not in any way uncomfortable) to make it last a little bit longer on the lips.  I love the doe foot applicator as well which holds a perfect amount for one application.

I got their most classic shade #19 Pirate which is a beautiful neutral red. And here is what Chanel claim....

"An exceptional gloss to wear like a lipstick. The first gloss that combines lacquered shine with the bold style of an intense colour. A click and a black case that are now part of the ROUGE ALLURE legend. A gloss for women who love lipstick. A lipstick for women who love gloss.
• A high concentration of finely ground pigments for exceptional radiance, intensity and purity.
• The combination of a film-forming polymer and glass microbeads creates a mirror effect and optimises shine with a lacquered effect.
• Two polymers join forces to maintain shine and hold for hours on end.
• A unique blend of active ingredients composed of sappan wood, matcha green tea butter and a Vitamin E derivative known for its ability to moisturise and protect the lips."

They sure look amazing and feel amazing as well, they're worth giving a chance to try!
What do you think Ladies?
