Methode SWISS: Thermal Oxygen Soothing Cleansing Water

Methode SWISS is a Swiss Skincare Brand, I got their Thermal Oxygen Soothing Cleansing Water from Singapore Sasa (beauty store) with my reward points and paid less then SGD $20 for this full sized 400 ml/ 13.6 fl.oz. I don't think I'll ever get this without my points with the original price but since  I never tried anything from this brand I thought I'll just give it a go to see if I like it a not.

Methode SWISS: Thermal Oxygen Soothing Cleansing Water (SGD $52) contains no alcohol, artificial colourant or alkaline cleansing ingredient. The fresh product effectively and quickly removes make-up. It deeply cleanses while strengthening skin’s defence against aging. It leaves skin looking plump, moisturized and balanced. And it protects skin against environmental pollution, Skin is healthy and radiant.

ingredients
  1. Hydrating And Moisturizing
    • Swiss Thermal Water - hydrates, locks moisture and repairs.
    • Distilled Peony Water - gives hydrating, softening, pore-tightening, and antiseptic effects.
    • Vitamin B3, Vitamin B5 - prevents moisture loss, whitens and gives anti-oxidant effect.
  2. Cell Oxygenating
    • Thermal Oxygen Complex - Algae Extract and Plankton enhance cells’ability to repair and defend, and promote metabolism.
  3. Soothing And Balancing
    • Soothing Complex - Camomile Extract, Aloe Vera Extract and Hawthorrn calm and soothe, improving skin’s natural defence against inflammation.
    • Calmosensine™ - reduces skin’s stress and tension, gives anti-wrinkle and firming effects.
  4. Deep Cleansing
    • Anti--pollution Purifyiing Peptide (Purisoft™) - an India’s moringa oleifera extract that aids in the removal of pollutants and harmful substances on skin, and protects skin from heavy metal and environmental pollution.
  5. Anti-oxidizing
    • Resveratrol - gives strong anti-oxidant effect, and protects against environmental pollution.

Overall I think it is way over priced and I could get a cheaper cleansing water with the same or better results. Its not a bad product but I still prefer my holy grail cleansing water Bifesta Cleansing Lotion (Micellar Water)  which I had reviewed previously (click the link if you are interested to check it out).

Mini Haul From Boots Bangkok Thailand

I was so happy and excited to see a Boots there in Bangkok, Thailand!! They got an amazing deal going on for Soap &  Glory products, buy 1 get 1 free. I didn't get much and i really regretted now because the prices were so cheap there compare to here in Singapore.

I managed to get the 'Collection' Lasting Perfection concealer in #2 cool medium finally!! The cool medium never seems to be in stock in Singapore, I needed something more darker then the fair I got already!!

Now if you have been following me for a while should already know I do not like any food scent on my body, face or even candles. It smells great but I do much prefer the real thing still. When I buy this scrub it is really a step out of my comfort zone, plus so many people are raving about it that I really got to try.

Soap & Glory The Breakfast Scrub (THB 395 = SGD $15.53) smells amazing with the Great Maple Scent! This is an oat, shea butter and sugar body smoother with organic cupuacu bio scrubs, bananas, almond and honey extracts ( in layman's terms it is a breakfast smoothie for the body!) Simply put, it's an exfoliator/body scrub that contains beneficial ingredients for the body.

  • Oat and shea butter work hand in hand to relieve, clean, soothe and moisturize (dry) skin.
  • Shea butter is naturally rich in Vitamin A and Vitamin E which is particularly beneficial for very dry or sun-exposed skin.
  • Organic cupuacu body scrubs is an organic exfoliant harvested from the South American rain forest that is gentle enough to use every day.
  • Banana is a a great moisturizer for your skin, and the Vitamin A present in banana restores the lost moisture as well as repairs damaged, dull and dry skin.
  • Almond extracts contain a major source of Vitamin E, which is also known as a 'skin food' because it nourishes your skin and makes it healthy.
  • Lastly, honey extracts also act as a great moisturizer for the skin and helps in keeping skin well hydrated, fresh and supple.
The texture of the scrub is a thick paste consistency with small brown sugar granules and bigger almond extracts granules. The sugar granules are very gentle on your skin, and the almond grains give a more effective exfoliation, but both compliment each other and give you a proper scrub. The scrub is not abrasive at all and rather leaves your skin with that fresh and clean feeling. I found the scrub to spread evenly and widely, and that a little but went a long way. What I loved about it is that it never left my skin feeling stripped of everything but rather left it feeling fresh, moisturized and super soft.

To sum up, a big thumbs up for me and surprisingly I actually love the scent on my body. One pretty sad thing is Singapore is selling for about $24 a tub in Sephora, not a very bad price here but it could be better

Soap & Glory The Fab Pore 2-in-1 Purifying Mask & Peel (THB 525 = SGD $20.66)  is a 15 minute intensive-action pore purifying facial peel which can also be used for just 5 minutes for a quick refresher. I really liked this face mask, it reduced the appearance of my pores – I wouldn’t say it shrank my pores but it really cleared them out and made them easier to cover with make up. It is a lovely mint green thick and creamy mask. It contains rice microbeads to cleanse, smooth and exfoliate the dead skin cells away.  The scent is a little hard to explain, it's subtle yet refreshing, a hint of mint.

It is perfect for those with oily/combination skin.  The texture is thick and creamy, very luxurious. A little goes a long way so don't go scooping out half of the tub. It smooths over the face easily and when massaging into my problem areas I can feel the microbeads doing their magic to exfoliate my dry skin and deep clean my pores. It feels very soothing and cooling on the skin without making it feel tight and uncomfortable.

I must say I'm impressed and I love this mask but I will not repurchase this in Singapore Sephora because the price is ridiculously expensive here, it's selling for SGD $41 which I can find better brands for that kind of price here. If I'm going back Bangkok, Thailand I'll pick some more up.

Finding an affordable concealer is an expensive, laborious task. I do suffer with under eye circles and blemishes and yes I do like a good concealer that can cover up. This is an absolute amazing concealer and I truly think that it deserves the hype and cult following that it has gained. Here’s a more depth review.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer (#1 Fair & #2 Cool Medium) (THB 249 = SGD $9.80) has a very thick consistency, which really works wonders at covering blemishes. Due to how thick it is, it does have a tendency to highlight blemishes if the skin is broken, however the coverage is just perfect. This concealer is ideal for blemishes and imperfections, and really work well when applied on the under-eye area as it does not sinks into any fine lines.

There isn't a perfect match for my skin-tone so I got to get both fair and cool medium to mix and can use fair to highlight. The price is again a huge difference to me!! If I remember correctly its selling at around SGD $15 per tube here in Singapore, I guess I got to stock up a lot of things if I am back to Bangkok, Thailand for holidays next time.

About comparing it with NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer  I not sure yet, haven't been able to get the Nars one yet because it is pretty much out of stock in Singapore and not sure when they will ever get them in again. I hope I lucky enough to get my hands on them soon to do a comparison.

Hugs & Kisses, Diana

THANN Mini Haul From Bangkok, Thailand (Skin Care)

Hi Ladies,

Today I'm going to share with you about the THANN skincare products I haul from Bangkok, Thailand but first I'll briefly tell you a little about them. They are all-natural skincare products that are inspired from Thailand.

THANN-Oryza Co. Ltd was established in 2002 to manufacture and market natural skincare products under the THANN brand using natural ingredients, and contemporary design.

THANN is a range of natural hair and skincare products formulated from botanicals derived by combining the art of natural therapy with the modern dermatological science. Providing the core ingredient for THANN’s wide range of products is the Vitamin E-rich extracts of rice bran oil deriving from the Oryza sativa, commonly known as rice, that unique staple of Thai subsistence for over five millennia. In addition, THANN is the first brand to use Nano Shiso extract as a key ingredient for skincare products.

THANN-Oryza promotes environmentally-friendly products, supports human rights, and is against the use of child labour and animal testing.

I didn't really buy a lot from them just only got their Oatmeal Face Scrub & Detoxifying Clay Mask, the rest are just samples I got for free.

Their packaging is simple but feels really luxurious, THANN did won quite a number of awards and one was in 2006 Design for Asia Grand Award from the Hong Kong Design Centre.

  • THANN Oatmeal Face Scrub gently exfoliates to remove death cells and impurities revealing new cells leaving skin soft and bright looking.  It also nourishes and protects skin from free radical damage.
  • Recommended for: All skin type especially for dull and dry skin
  • Key Benefits: Oat extract and Rice bran oil provides nourishment. Marsh Mallow extract contains Vitamin A, B and C, moisturizes and strengthens skin condition. Centella extract has calming effects on the skin.
  • Key Ingredients:
  • Oryza sativa(Rice) bran oil: Rich in essential fatty acids, vitamin E s and the unique ã-Oryzanol moisturize and protect skin from damaging free radicals
  • Oatmeal Scrub, Avena Sativa (Oat) extract: A natural exfoliate, soothe and smooth the skin, rich in essential amino acid
  • Althaea Officinalis (Marsh mallow) extract: Contain Vitamin A, B and C. A natural emollient with anti-inflammatory property
  • Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) oil: Very nutritious, containing vitamins A, B, and C
Thann Oatmeal Face Scrub (THB 1200 = SGD $47.20)The texture is a bit thick and creamy which I love. Oat extract, centella extract, marshmallow extract and rice bran oil are just some of the ingredients in the scrub that I can let nourish and calm my skin while I leave it on for several minutes as a mask. It is really gentle on my skin and the exfoliating beads are just the right size. I really like the scent, which doesn't smell like oatmeal but instead smells a bit like a fragrance (even though there's no fragrance added).

*P.S. If you're looking for a great all-natural face scrub that also doubles up as a mask, I highly suggest the Thann Oatmeal Face Scrub.

  • THANN Detoxifying Clay Mask absorbs toxins and cleans up dirt embedded in pores. Cucumber and Rose extracts sooth the skin while Rice bran oil provides nourishment.

  • Recommended for: Suitable for everyone.
  • Key Benefits: Provides the benefits of moisturizing rice bran oil, plant essential oils and Vitamin E. Brings back softness and firmness to skin. Healing broken capillaries, eczema, and herpes. Freshing up and repair the skin from the harmful environment. No artificial fragrance.
  • Key Ingredients:
  • Kaolin (Clay), Bentonite (Clay), Tanakura Clay: The excellent absorbent for toxins and dirt.
  • Hawaiian Sea Plants (Algae) extract: Full of trace elements, calcium, and magnesium, it helps the skin store moisture to improve elasticity.
  • Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran oil: Rich in essential fatty acids, vitamin E s and the unique ã-Oryzanol moisturize and protect skin from damaging free radicals.
  • Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) extract, Rosa Damascena (Rose) extractSkin-freshening and cooling, healing broken capillaries
  • Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) oil: Very nutritious, containing vitamins A, B, and C
Thann Detoxifying Face Mask (THB 1200 = SGD $47.20) Both the Thann Oatmeal Face Scrub and this Thann Detoxifying Face Mask are from Thann's Rice Collection. Both products doesn't dry out my skin. With that being said I find that most clay mask always leave the skin feeling a bit more taut but this one does not . Some people like the skin tightening feeling they get after using a clay mask, I'm okay with anything as long as the product works and I can see/feel results afterwards. I also love the very thick texture of the Face MaskDespite the texture it spreads really nicely across the skin.

I love both of their products (haven't use/try their mini samples yet) and will definitely recommend them , the price is mid range considering they're quality products.

Here is a link to their website : http://www.thann.info to check out if there is a store in your country or where you are staying. If you are going Bangkok, Thailand you could check out their store at :

THANN
Central World, 2nd floor

which I had visited. For singaporeans I believe there is a store located at ION in orchard (If I can remember correctly.)

Have a nice weekend!! Cya soon with my up coming Boots Thailand mini haul next!!

Beauty Cottage Mini Haul From Bangkok, Thailand (Eyeshadow Palette & Lipstick)

Hi my lovely ladies,

I'm sorry that I wasn't able to blog last weekend I had been sick and was to weak to be able to do so.  This week I'm finally able to show you gals what I bought in Bangkok (Thailand), I didn't really shop that much and this was the only Thailand brand make up I bought while I was there. Their own thailand brand 'Beauty Cottage'.

Beauty Cottage doesn't test on animals!! Hurray!! I love it when companies are able to do that. And look at their gorgeous packaging, it does have that kind of vintage feel.  Lets start with the eyeshadow palette I got first.

From left to right: Calypso, Medea, Demeter, Aphrodite, Pandora, Helen, Artemis, Hera, Athena

Beauty Cottage Gorgeous Shadow Palette (THB 895 = SGD $35.20) contains a total of 9 colours (3 matte & 6 shimmery shades), it is a neutral/nude tones palette. The packaging is made of hard cardboard and comes with a magnetic closure. While overall the palette leans towards the cooler scale, there are some warm shades thrown in to give versatility to give you more options for creating more looks with it. These shadows are extremely soft, smooth, pigmented, very blendable and they are infused with collagen extract to help reduce wrinkles and protect UV rays. The natural-derived ingredient Mica with help brighten the skin too.The quality is up there with the high-end brands yet they're so affordable.

There is a bonus dome crease brush which is so rare since palettes usually include a flat brush (to pack colours on). The quality is pretty decent and it is a good size to add definition in the outer-V followed by blending it out.

From left to right: Calypso, Medea, Demeter, Aphrodite, Pandora, Helen, Artemis, Hera, Athena

Beauty Cottage Sweet Memory Long Lasting Lipstick (No.10 In Love) (THB 345 = SGD $13.57) is infused with mineral-rich Tourmaline, Pearl Powder and moisturizing ingredients. The texture is smooth and creamy and glides on  easily onto the lips without settling into the fine lines of my lips. I find that it is a very hydrating lipstick because it kept them moisturize yet not drying out my lips at all. It is a bright berry fuchsia, and this beautiful shade makes my teeth and skin looks whiter and brighter which is a very good sign indeed.

I do really regret that I did not pick up more shades of their lipsticks, they're excellent quality and pocket friendly. I'm sure I'll pick more up if I'm going back Bangkok for holiday again.

P.S. The lasting power is about 2 - 3hours and it does leave a very pretty slight stain on my lips.

To my understanding Beauty Cottage is only available in Thailand, if you wish to browse more of their products you could visit their website at: www.beautycottageshop.com . I visited their store at their Central World shopping mall if you keen to buy anything from them just go there when you're there in Bangkok Thailand.

Be sure to check Beauty Cottage if you are on holiday like me, great quality products I've and tested so far and definitely a must try because I'm sure you will love them as I do!

There will be a mini haul from Boots Thailand, Thann( I got skin care) a spa Thailand brand and just a little something from NYX counter soon. Hope you're excited!!

XOXO!! Love Diana!!

Yves Rocher: So Elixir (Perfume)

Yves Rocher is a simple, effective and affordable brand and since I love their Yves Rocher: Moment De Bonheur Perfume so much I finally went to get another perfume scent. And this time I got their

Yves Rocher: So Elixir Eau De Parfum (SGD $50 for 30ml) is described as a Chypre Floral Fragrance for women and was launched in 2011.

  • Top Notes: Bergamot
  • Mid Notes: Jasmine, Rose
  • Base Notes: Patchouli, Incense, Tonka Bean
Its a sensual, feminine and gorgeous scent that makes you feel sexy. The packaging is simple and yet bold. Yves Rocher can be your little "secret go to" unique, high-quality fragrance without high-quality price tag.

I still have another 2 fragrances on my list that I would like to get from them because the lasting power of their fragrances are great which a lot of scents now a days will just disappear immediately or just last 3 hours max. There are different scents you can choose from them. You could check out if there is a store in your country where you live, just google it.

Do you own any Yves Rocher fragrances? It is a worthy try for sure.

Bare Minerals: Double Trouble Marvelous Moxie Lipstick & Lipgloss Duo

For some reason I'm not drawn to most of the products from Bare Minerals especially their cosmetics line, I had tried their skin care range and do like them but I was just not curious about their makeup and I don't know why.

That day when I'm waiting at the queue in Sephora I saw this Bare Minerals: Double Trouble Marvelous Moxie Lipstick & Lipgloss Duo (SGD $19) and just pick it up thinking why not since I've not tried any of their products and they are great for when traveling. In Singapore we are not that lucky to get that much free samples like in the USA, most of us have to pay for the minis samples (deluxe sample sizes).

Marvelous Moxie Lipgloss (Smooth Talker) is described as a golden pink shade. The gloss is thick and slightly tacky which allows to adhere to the lips and have a longer wear time. The formula produces a plush, pouty look o the lips and this shade looks quite sheer on me but with a golden sheen.
The sponge applicator is the method of application which has a slight slant to it that allows you to saturated it well with color so a single swipe with yield shine and color onto lips.

Marvelous Moxie Lipstick (Make Your Move) is a Mid-tone nude with a slight brown undertone. They are:
  • rich and creamy texture
  • long wearing
  • extremely pigmented/saturated
  • nice variety of colors
  • plumping (no tingle)

From left to right: Make Your Move, Smooth Talker, Lipstick top with Lipgloss

 Smooth Talker Lipgloss applied alone

Make Your Move Lipstick applied alone

Lipstick top with Lipgloss

Overall I do prefer their lipstick more then their lipgloss, nothing really special or stands out to me. Not that they are not good but I just prefer other brands or other formulas more then them, they're still a good if you're keen to try.

The Body Shop: Satsuma Body Sorbet

The Body Shop had launched a body sorbet (moisturizer) in Singapore quite a while now and there is a total of 5 different fragrances: strawberry, Mango, Moringa, Pink Grapefruit and Satsuma. I got their satsuma and I love it.

The Body Shop: Satsuma Body Sorbet (SGD $19.90) is a cool body moisturiser, infused with zingy satsuma scent! The breakthrough sorbet texture instantly melts into skin for a frosty burst of fresh moisture.
  • Light and fast-absorbing
  • Leaves body instantly moisturised
  • Up to 24 hours of hydration

  • It works great especially in Singapore, because of the extremely hot and humid weather here I found that it moisturized well and not make my skin feel oily. It does absorbed into my skin almost instantly (The texture of the moisturizer is gel-like) and feel nice and cool.

Its a great day time moisturizer,  for those of you living in countries with four seasons it will be great and suitable especially in the summer, for people living in a hot and humid weather is really a blessing to have a cooling moisturizer.

Have you heard about these sorbets yet? Have you tried them yet? What are your thoughts?
