My Beauty Favourites - Jan 2015

Now here is what I have been loving for this month of January the first month of the year...There isn't a lot of things but they'r things I used religiously this month.. My foundations (Chanel Vital Lumiere Aqua & Perfection Lumiere Velvet - full review Link here!) routine never change because I'm really loving them..

Now here goes......

1. Naked Basics 2 - Loving the simple eye shadow look with bold dark lips this month, just a great basic palette really...Done a full review comparing the first and this current second palette link is here!

2. Rouge Pur Couture Pure Colour Satiny Radiance: Noir Prima Donna (#63) - Quite a unique dark colour.... check out my full review link here!

3. Tom Ford Limited Edition Mini Lip Colour in  #04 Gustavo - Love the formula and this is another unique colour, a creamy chocolate brown and it is just perfect with my neutral/natural eye look this month. I wanted to get more of the other shades from this limited collection of minis but I'm too late.  Here is the link to check out my full review from the same range but permanent line, different shade.

4. Make Up Forever HD High Definition Powder - Is an oldie but a goodie!! I used this as a finishing powder after my matte setting powder. Just a light dusting creates a beautiful finish and only just using a tiny tiny bit.. a little goes a long way... The texture a really fine and silky, which is great for a finishing powder but not great to set because this powder really cannot keep my face matte and prevent the shininess from peeking through my oily comb skin.

5. e.l.f. Contouring blush & Bronzing Powder in St. Lucia #83601 - I really only love and use the bronzer and is not only hitting pan but finishing the beautiful bronzer soon. It does have some golden shimmers but you really can't tell when it is applied and blended on the my skin. A great quality budget bronzer.

6. Maybelline Eyestudio Hypersharp Laser Liner in Intense Black & Brown - With the thinnest tip yet to give you the utmost precision for drawing lines, it goes on steadily in one fluid stroke and delivers richly pigmented colour to make the eyes stand out. Depending on what I'm feeling for that day a bold dark intense black or just brown liquid liner this is my holy grail liquid eyeliner from the "drugstore".

7. Maybelline The Rocket Volum' Express in black & waterproof formula - Nothing bad or negative to complain... just a great "drugstore" mascara which adds volume... I tend to use 2 different mascara but this is the main/base one and I will layer with other different brand to create a better look for my sparse and short asian lash.

My Beauty Empties (#03 Jan 2015 Part 2)

Hi everyone,

This is the end of January 2015 and here is my part 2 of my beauty empties and as I have quite a lot of stuff that I had used up. Lets get into it straight away....!!!

1. ICM PHARMA Isopropyl Alcohol 70% Disinfectant( 500ml)  is just something I use to spot clean my brushes and I always transfer them into a spray bottle and add quite a number drops of tea tree oil to mix together.

- Yes I will repurchase always.

2.  Michael Todd True Organics: Intense Organic Cream Eye Treatment (15ml/ .5 fl oz) My second tube from a set.with Haloxyl®and Eyeliss® is a cutting edge 90% organic advancedtreatment for each aspect of eye aging. Haloxyl and Eyeliss are proprietary formulas developed in Europe to reduce bags and dark circles beneath the eyes. Together they work with the other eye worthy ingredients in INTENSIVE to fight all the signs of premature eye aging, Also supports elastin and collagen production to help the skin in the eye area "bounce back" instead of sagging and wrinkling. Skin in any state will benefit from this nourishing treatment but it is especially suited to dry, sensitive and wrinkled skintypes. Comes with gentle massage tip applicator to break up puffiness.

- Nope! This is oily even for my dry under eyes and just doesn't adsorbs that fast. I just do not like my under eyes feeling greasy.

3. John Frieda: Frizz Ease Original 6 Effects Serum (5 ml ) is a great anti - frizz hair serum, instantly eliminates frizz and repels humidity for glossy, silky-smooth styles. With thermal protectant.

- Nope. I'm not a person that uses tons of products on my hair, I'm a simple girl when it comes to my hair. Just a shampoo, conditioner and hair mask. But I'll consider purchasing this if I find I need it one day because it does not weigh my hair down.

4.  Bath and Body Works Anti - Bacterial Gentle Foaming Hand Soap in Fresh Balsam(limited edition 259 ml/ 8.75 fl oz.) Love their foaming hand soap always! Crisp balsam fir blends with fresh eucalyptus, sweet pine, and subtle notes of bright apple and cedarwood.

- Always change/buy different scent (already repurchase in different scent), but I'll always repurchase this particular scent because this is one of my all time favourite.

5.  Bath and Body Works PocketBac Sanitizing Hand Gel in A Walk In The Woods (limited edition 29 ml/ 1 fl oz) Love their foaming hand soap always! Golden leaves, red rosewood and cool bergamot! Another musky woody scent that I love.

- Always change/buy different scent (already repurchase in different scent and have another 1 backup for this particular scent)

6. Bath and Body works Candle in Vanilla Chai ( Limited Edition14.5 oz. / 411 g - Large 3 wick candle)  Savor the fragrance of freshly ground cinnamon, chai spices, sweet foamy local cream and whole vanilla beans. Love this scent, if I see this the next time I'll get it again.

- Will always buy candles from them, love that they have a great selection of scents and those seasonal selection.

7. Bath and Body works Candle in Fresh Bamboo (14.5 oz. / 411 g - Large 3 wick candle)  Take a much-needed timeout and recharge with this invigorating fusion of sweet bamboo, lush jasmine and wild grasses grounded with warm oak. Quite a heavy fresh scent that fills my whole room almost immediately. Love it!

- Will always buy candles from them, love that they have a great selection of scents and those seasonal selection. Definite repurchase for this particular scent.

8. Giovanni Eco Chic Hair Care : 2 chic Tangerine & Papaya Butter Ultra-Volume Conditioner(250 ml/ 8.5 fl oz) A zesty and refreshing scent that I love for a pick me up and is suitable for my fine, limp hair which will:

1. Builds body without adding weight
2. Plumps & thickens every strand
3. Softens & detangles
4. Prevents dulling build-up
5. Makes hair shiny & bouncy

- Yes I will repurchase it once in a while as I have others I always use.

9. Holland & Barrett: Biotin 1000mg each (100 tablets) Pure Biotin for my weak hair that drops/falls off so much always. Saw a huge difference once I stop taking, simply put it that it works!

- Already repurchase and always will!

10. Enzyplex: Digestive Enzymes with Vitamin B complex plus Anti-Flatulent  (30 tablets) Relieves Stomach and Abdominal Discomfort:

10. VDL Beauty moisturizer with Prune(samples)   Fortified with prune water, strengthens the moisture barrier of the skin, capturing moisture and keeping it close to the face. The texture feels like gel and it adsorbs into my skin pretty fast.

- Will consider repurchasing after finishing the rest of my moisturizer and will use this just in the morning.

12. Yves Rocher White Bontical Essence (samples)  The extraordinary brightening power of Licorice and the powerful anti-aging effectiveness of White Lupin are concentred in a product line with visible effectiveness. The Exceptional Youth Essence restores youthfulness and radiance in a single step.

- I like the light texture of serums or essences, most of them adsorbs very fast into the skin. And in Singapore's humid and hot weather most people love light weight products and in Asia most people love whitening products so with all that said I might consider getting this if I hadn't had so many things to finish.

13. Yves Rocher Serum Vegetal Wrinkles & Firmness Ultra Plumping Serum  (samples) A concentrated in a serum. With its concentrated formula, the Wrinkles & Firmness Ultra Plumping Serum, anti-aging skin care, instantly tightens features and immediately smoothes wrinkles and fine lines.

- Don't notice any difference but it is nice and adsorb fairly well, won't be repurchasing as I prefer others. 

14. Michael Todd True Organics Damascus Rose Enriched Anti-Wrinkle Cream (Sample) Created to breathe new life into dry and mature skin,Damascus Rose contains 10 different "peptides," including next generation tri-peptides to ratchet up collagen production in aging, collagen-deficient skin. - It is a rich night cream which is surprisingly quite nice and adsorbs fairly well into my skin, will consider purchasing maybe in my later years of age but just not now as I still prefer my night dry oils.

I have been trying to finish as many products as I could this few months even samples, just don't like wasting products unless I really hate it that much to throw them away I'll try to use up most of them.

Bath And Body Works (Mini Haul #04)

Okay... Ahem... There is a sale at Bath & Body Works and I got just 4 items.. Not that much (heehee).. I really could not pass this up as the candles are buy 2 get 1 free and it just happened that I pretty much love their fall and winter scents better then their spring or summer ones, another one of my weakness is  any body moisturizer that says Souffle I would love and grab.


Now lets get into what I got...

Bath & Body Works: 3-Wick Candle (Vanilla Chai) (SGD $32 @ Bath & Body Works) the scent is described as - Savor The Fragrance Of Freshly Ground Cinnamon, Chair Spices, Sweet Foamy Local Cream And Whole Vanilla Beans. - Love this warm and cosy scent, just feel like sitting in a quiet cafe drinking my latte whenever it is lighted up.

Bath & Body Works: 3-Wick Candle (Winter) (SGD $32 @ Bath & Body Works) the scent is described as - Be transported to the mountains with bracing notes of pine needles, winter citrus and white woods.

Love that it is fresh and woody at the same time, that is truly what I feel about this scent.

Bath & Body Works: 3-Wick Candle (Sparkling Icicles) (SGD $32 @ Bath & Body Works) the scent is described as - A blend of moss, bergamot & citrus evokes icicles sparkling in winter moonlight.This is a pretty light and fresh scent to me, its like fresh winter air in the countryside to me.

A nourishing body cream melts into skin leaving it silky and smooth. The recipe is with Shea butter and conditioning vitamin E.

Wild Madagascar Vanilla - vanilla bean body Souffle (SGD $22)

• Top Notes: African Pear, Sparkling Clementine, Ruby Apple
• Mid Notes: Wild Jasmine, Wild Gardenia, Heliotrope Petals, Golden Plumeria
• Dry Notes: Madagascar Vanilla, White Sandalwood, Creamy Musk

I never thought I would like a vanilla scent and this is the 2nd vanilla scent that I love besides the Ambre Vanille from Laura Mercier. But this is definitely not a sweet vanilla fragrance.
